- Favorites of the Week !! 🌅- Chapter 1

This week we are inaugurating a new section with you.

Spreading the love 🌈

That’s the idea behind our « Favorites Â» section. You will find here only the things that WE like. Whether it's food, art, fashion, or music, everything in this area is 100% made in Lagos and 100% a must-try!

For this first one, we are sharing some of our longstanding picks in the city.

The Wuman Brand: the art of storytelling through garments

What's fabulous about Chukwuma’s creations (the brilliant mind behind The Wuman Brand) is that you really feel like you are wearing something more than just a dress or a tunic.

Drawer, poet, writer, designer, Chukwuma has many talents that all come together when he is creating garments. His latest collection is, as he said, « inspired by the entropy and beautiful chaos of Lagos as well as the distinct beauty of the African continent Â».

You can discover his works on his Instagram page & on his Website and shop his collection at Alara Concept Store or online, on dittoafrica.com

It’s time to Reclaim!

Reclaim what?

Your body, your soul, your mental health. But mostly, your « me time Â». That’s the idea behind the Reclaim project: creating self-care products and content to help us reclaim that precious (yet so difficult to find) time to take care of ourselves!

And on my-reclaim.com you will find EVERYTHING you need to create that special time. Face-mask, face oil, scented candle, Palo Santo wood (oh, we are IN LOVE with that sacred wood), and even face gym tools.

But the most interesting part is that to help us find self-awareness and confidence, Reclaim is taking a holistic approach.

Yes!! they are selling proudly made in Nigeria products, but they are also creating events on very interesting topics such as the social pressure women can feel when it comes to taking care of themself before others.

Meet the Tacos’ Lady 🌮

How can we end our first favorite column without … FOOD?

And not any kind of food. But TACOS, BURRITOS & GUACAMOLE.

Uzo is Nigerian. Yet she cooks the best Mexican food ever.

At El Padrino’s, absolutely everything is hand made by Uzo and her amazing team. From flour tortillas to salsas, it’s fresh, it’s tasty, it’s spicy, it’s yummy. And the best thing is that you can get all that Mexican deliciousness delivered at your door or discover it during one of their now-famous Taco Tuesday Pop Up : every Tuesday (duh !) at 48 Balarabe Musa Cres, Victoria Island.
